It is with great pleasure that I recently joined the APC’s team (notice of appointment). The APC mission is to promote the fight against addictions that affect the well-being of the populations such as alcohol, illicit drugs, medications, tobacco, gambling and computer addiction, by focusing on sensitizing organizations and the population.

Drugs: Know the Facts, Cut your Risks, available at Chapters
The Addiction Prevention Centre (APC) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Chapters for the distribution of the new Canadian version of the book.
Following to the success of the French Edition Drogues: Savoir plus, risquer moins, sold nearly to 300 000 copies, APC decided to launch a Canadian version to better inform the entire population about psychoactives substances.
This new book, with more than 190 pages, contains information on the substances, their effects, risks associated with their consumption and the laws in Canada. It provides a national picture of substance and presents statistics for the whole country. In addition, it offers the details of aid resources for every provinces and territories. The book, in color, contains a lot of illustrations and boards.
